Replace that broken Softub Return Screen. Fits any and all Models and sizes of Softub. (This is the return screen and new model 5020 Filter)

The most common reason for the drain cap breaking is trying to remove the "snap-on" filter when either the water is cold or the tub is empty. The ambient temp is usually less than 100 degrees so the rubber fitting that snaps-on to the Return Screen is hard like plastic. But when the water is hot the filter is easy to remove and the fitting is soft like rubber.

It sometimes is a little confusing what you broke and what you are getting. Usually the "return screen" It looks like it has a bunch of holes drilled in it ends up inside the filter fitting. To get it out you need to heat some water place the filter "rubber" end in the water to soften the fitting to easily remove the broken return screen.

Then there is almost always a white piece of plastic screw that remains in the drain flange. Sometimes you need to carefully unscrew the "metal locking screw" and then unscrew the white insert.

Then you will be able to replace the new return screen assembly and again carefully lock in the cap with the metal screw.
